Tim Weber Cruises into The 1999 National Championship Air RacesWeber's show is filled with incredible maneuvers such as Iomecevaks, tailslides, torque rolls, outside maneuvers and other exhilarating figures. Weber's 15-minute show is custom tailored for NCAR and generates a 9G's positive and 6 G's negative in his Russian Yak 55M>The "right" airshow plane, as Weber puts it, is an unlimited class aerobatic aircraft built by the Russian Yakovlev Design Bureau. The Yak 55M is capable of a roll rate of over 400 degrees per second. This large colorful monoplane is stressed for the toughest of unlimited aerobatics and has the unusual looks and sounds to make it a crowd pleaser at the 1999 NCAR. Growing up in Phoenix, Arizone, only a block away from a soaring school, Tim grew to love flying and worked as a line-boy at the airport in exchange for flying lessons.
