Reno Air Races to Sponsor Heroes of Flight Dinner at the City Center PavilionThe Reno Air Racing Association (RARA) is proud to announce the special Heroes of Flight dinner on September 17 at the Silver Legacy Hotel/Casino. The Silver Legacy Hotel/Casino is the major sponsor of this special night. Eldorado Hotel/Casino is also a sponsor of the dinner. The NASA astronauts who are co-grand marshals of this year's event will be present with race pilots from all classes involved in this year's event. Representatives from the United States Air Force Thunderbirds will also be in attendance.This unique, once in a lifetime opportunity is made even more special by this intimate setting. To see astronauts from every space program, in the same room is extraordinary. Tickets are $125 per person or a table of 8 for $1,000. Sponsors and full table commitments receive preferential seating locations. With a total of six rac classes and a star-studded air show, the NCAR Board of Directors is looking to make this year's event the best ever. NASA astronauts will serve as grand marshals and the United States Air Force Thunderbirds will present several shows, all courtesy of the Eldorado Hotel Casino and Silver Legacy Resort Casino. The 1999 Reno Air Races and Air Show are Sept. 16-19 at the Reno/Stead Airport. Ticket prices for the Air Races range from $8 general admission to a four-day, reserved seat season pass at $80.
